PRAYER
At St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, students and staff participate in many forms of prayer. Students learn, throughout their time at the school, that prayer is a way of developing their relationship with God. They engage in and develop knowledge of how to communicate with God and express, with the right intentions, all their hopes, works, joys and sufferings.
Each morning the staff gather at 8am and begin our school day with prayer. When students gather in the classrooms at the beginning of each day, as part of their morning procedures, they will spend time in prayer, offering their works in service of the Lord. Teachers and students take time to pray before each lunch break and at the end of the day. As a whole school, the students assemble after first lunch and pray together the Angelis. At Monday morning assembly, each class is rostered to prepare a prayer in which the whole school and visitors will engage. Our Friday assemblies always begin with our school prayer.
