TEACHING & LEARNING

At St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, our program for Prep - 6, lays the foundations for life-long learning. It is designed with future citizens in mind, who are competent, creative, innovate and contribute positively to society. A combination of discrete and integrated lessons, ensure that skills and knowledge from cross all key Learning Areas in the Australian Curriculum, as endorsed by Rockhampton Catholic Education Office, are incorporated into the program. Grow mindsets, high expectations of all, evidence based and data informed teaching practices, provide learning opportunities, which enable students to grow and learn mentally, physically and spiritually.

Specialist teachers provide opportunities for students to develop targeted skills and knowledge in the areas of Physical Education, Drama, and Music, through authentic learning experiences. This also allows classroom teachers non-contact time to plan and prepare lessons for the students.
